Kate dusts off her Alexander McQueen tuxedo for stunning appearance

We may have retired our tailored pieces to the backs of our wardrobes, but last night the Duchess of Cambridge made the case for whipping them back out.

Filming a video at the National History Museum in a teaser clip to announce this year’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year Award, Kate donned her trusty Alexander McQueen blazer.

This isn't the first time the Duchess has championed the storied British fashion house. McQueen's creative director, Sarah Burton, designed both of the Duchesses wedding dresses in 2011, and the 38-year-old was most recently seen sporting the brand to the BAFTA's.

In the video, Kate kept her hair loose and lightened and accessorised with demure pearl earrings (the bling of the season, FYI.)

The video also proves that both Kate and Prince William are returning to business as usual. Last week, they made their return to Buckingham Palace to host the President and First Lady of Ukraine, for which Kate wore a cornflower blue Emilia Wickstead frock.

While Kate's custom Alexander McQueen offering might be slightly out of our budgets, there are a host of affordable and on-the-money dupes to snap up.
