Kate Ferdinand has suffered a miscarriage.
The 31-year-old reality star - who is married to ex-England footballer Rio Ferdinand and already has 19-month-old Cree with him - had not publicly announced that she was pregnant but took to social media on Wednesday (27.07.22) evening to reveal that she had lost the baby.
Alongside a black and white image of her legs resting on the edge of a hospital bed, she wrote on Instagram: "The last time I was in this hospital I was having Cree, but this time it was because our baby had no heartbeat in our 12 week scan and I had to have surgery. We were so excited and planning a space for our new baby in our family, we just couldn’t wait to share our news with you all, but unfortunately sometimes life just doesn’t go as we plan."
The former 'TOWIE' star - who is also step-mum to Rio's children Lorenz, 16, Tate, 13, 11, from his marriage to the late Rebecca Ellison - went on to tell her 1.4 million followers that while she is "heartbroken", she "couldn't be more grateful" for the love she received from her "bigger babies" as she returned home.
She added: "So much to say, but somehow I can’t find the words. Absolutely devastated heartbroken …but couldn’t be more grateful for the hugs I got from my big(er) babies coming through the door when we arrived home."
Former co-stars Samantha Faiers and Chloe Lewis were quick to send their support in the comments, with Samantha writing: "This is heartbreaking, sending you lots of love and strength x x" (sic) while Chloe said: "Sending my love to you" and ex-'Geordie Shore' star Vicki Pattison said she was "so so sorry."
