Yahoo News Kate Garraway shares "emotional moment" with daughter Darcey
Good Morning Britain star Kate Garraway has shared an "emotional moment" with her daughter Darcey.
The presenter took to Instagram on Monday (September 16) to celebrate 18-year-old Darcey's move to university, posting a sweet video of herself struggling to fit cardboard boxes into the car.
"I actually don't think this is going to fit and it's a massive boot as well," Kate said in the clip. "Thank goodness there's just two of us, so I'm going to see if I can get it on the backseat."

As she packed a pair of gold heels into the vehicle, Kate went on to reveal that her messiness has rubbed off on Darcey, saying: "She thinks she's so different to me, but when it comes to general chaos and kafuffle, she's actually quite like me."
The post's caption read: "And just like that she was off! That tiny helpless baby we brought home from hospital 18 yrs ago has gone to #uni!
"Just like thousands of other parents this weekend I was playing that game of #student jenga trying to get it all in the car. Thank goodness my beloved Victor #volvo has a massive boot!

Last week, Kate won a National Television Award in the Best Authored Documentary category for Kate Garraway: Derek's Story, which chronicled the final year of her husband Derek Draper's battle with coronavirus.
Derek contracted COVID-19 in the early days of the pandemic and spent a prolonged period of time in intensive care. He required round-the-clock care when he was allowed to go home, before sadly passing away in January this year.
