The Good Morning Britain presenter, 52, took part in Frightseers – a take on sightseeing but with a twist.
Viewers saw Garraway sticking her head inside a Big Ben-inspired structure and attempting to unscrew a star with just her tongue.
She started off groaning and then shouting out after presenters Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly revealed she was screwing the star on tighter rather than loosening it.
Ant says: “You can do this Kate!” before she replies: “I can’t get to it.”
Dec then says: “[There are] 2,000 cockroaches and crickets in there,” and Ant adds: “And two kilos of meal worms. Come on Kate, you’re slowing up.”
Her challenge comes as the camp has reduced from 12 contestants to seven after the departure of actor Cliff Parisi, comedian Andrew Maxwell, rugby player James Haskell and former footballer and broadcaster Ian Wright.
Wright, 56, was voted off the show on Wednesday evening and told Ant and Dec he was working on being “a little bit calmer” after becoming frustrated during the Bushtucker trials.
He said: “I lose it too quickly. It was more a mental thing, i found that the mental side of me, I've got a lot to work on it."
I'm A Celebrity.. Get Me Out Of Here! continues at 9pm on ITV.
