Kate Hudson is getting into the Christmas spirit.
The Almost Famous star, 45, marked the start of the festive season on Sunday, Dec. 1, by purchasing a beautiful Christmas tree with her 6-year-old daughter Rani.
Hudson shared a reel of their festive family outing on Instagram. It showed the mommy-daughter duo joined by Rani's father, her fiancé Danny Fujikawa, 38, as they also bought some decorative wooden reindeer and snowmen.
“And so it begins!!! My favorite time of year,” the star captioned her cozy video, adding snowflake and snowman emojis alongside the hashtag #haveyourselfamerrylittlechristmas.
The clip was accompanied by the holiday tune “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” sung by the actress-turned-singer herself.
Hudson bundled up against the winter chill for the N.Y.C. outing in a navy blue trench coat which she teamed with a furry hat and chunky boots. Musician Fujikawa looked similarly snug in a leather jacket and furry hat while Rani wore a multi-colored, leopard-print fleece and jeans.

The star shared a carousel of images showing herself, Fujikawa and Rani walking the rainy New York streets as well as a gorgeous table setting for Thanksgiving dinner featuring a full charcuterie spread.
