Kate Middleton champions London-based designer Seraphine in festive maternity outfit

With Christmas fast approaching, the Duchess Of Cambridge seemed to be getting into the festive spirit as she stepped out today in a rich red coat.

Kate's outfit was rather appropriate for her afternoon activity, as she visited the 'Magic Mums' Christmas celebration at the Rugby Portobello Trust. An organisation which offers support to children and parents in North Kensington - including victims of the Grenfell Tower disaster.

Following on from her bright red number last week, the Duchess - who is currently pregnant with her third child - went for more muted tones today, wearing a burgundy tweed coat with just a hint of sparkle.

Throughout her third pregnancy Kate has favoured recycling numerous items from her maternity wardrobe, especially designs by British brand Goat.

However, today the 35-year-old opted for a refreshing change, choosing to wear a maternity coat by London-based label Seraphine.

"At Seraphine we pride ourselves on providing stylish maternity clothes to some of the world’s most fashionable women." the brand explains on its website.

The maternity retailer also noted that its celebrity clientele include Louise Roe, Kim Murray, Gwen Stefani and Amanda Seyfried.

This isn't the first time the Duchess has worn the brand; she debuted the flattering £275 tweed coat on a trip to New York in December 2014, when she was pregnant with Princess Charlotte.

Seraphine's chic maternity outwear seems to be so popular that even those who aren't pregnant want to get their hands on the stylish items, with the brand recommending, "for customers not requiring a maternity fit, we recommend ordering one size down to give a more tailored look".
