Kate Middleton has reportedly left the UK for the first time since her cancer battle - with Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis in tow. The five members of the Royal Family have reportedly left the country.

Kate reportedly left the UK to enjoy a ski holiday during the New Year period, alongside her and Wills' kids. The Princess of Wales is thought to have returned back to the UK in time to celebrate her 43rd birthday at home on January 9.

It would have been the first time Catherine has left the UK since she announced she had been diagnosed with cancer in March last year. The family departed their home at Anmer on the Sandringham estate just over two weeks ago.

They spent several days away, along with members of the Middleton family, according to the Mail on Sunday. A staff member told the Mail on Sunday: "It was lovely to see Kate relaxing and enjoying herself. They looked like a normal English family, and a lot of people didn't recognise them.

"It was not the first time we had seen them. They have been coming here for years. I think they love the area. We often see Kate's sister, Pippa, as well." Brother James Middleton, 37, is also believed to have spent time with his older sister while on her winter getaway.

An onlooker said: "James was there with his wife and then Kate arrived with Charlotte and Louis. It seemed like a bit of a Middleton family knees-up. Everyone seemed to be really happy." Taking to Instagram, James Middleton wrote: "The January blues used to hit me hard…and to some extent it still does - the lingering aftermath of the festive season and long dark nights mixed in with overly ambitious New Year’s resolutions mean I feel as if I’m only just about surviving and it’s only the start of the year…

"But a few years ago I set myself a new mantra which was inspired by my dogs. Don’t spend every moment thinking of the one to come, or ones in the past. The past is imperfect, the future will be too - take each day as a new day, you can be excited about the future…the past won’t mind!

"We started the New Year with an adventure into the mountains. We were lucky enough to be engulfed by blue skies and cold crip air. I can’t believe how quickly Inigo is growing up- in fact that scares me the most…I fear if I blink I will miss it…but like with the dogs we include him in all of our adventures making memories taking each day as it comes…"
