Is This Really What Kate Middleton Will Look Like When She Hits 47?

Is this really what Kate Middleton will look like when she hits 47?

New software shows that the Duchess of Cambridge will apparently still be strikingly beautiful, with few signs of ageing, in 14 years time.

That’s if it’s accurate, of course.

The technology has been created by Professor Hassan Ugail, head of Bradford University’s Centre for Visual Computing.

It was originally designed to identify potential terrorists in crowds.

But he’s now tweaked the tech so that it predicts people’s future appearances.

And it could soon be available for the general public in the form of an app.

Is this the picture we’ll see of Prince George when he’s 60?

The concept is relatively simple. It blends snaps of a person’s face with those of their parents, before trying to forecast what they will look like in future years.

Ugail, who will present the tech to the British Science Association in Bradford this week, claims that his software has an 80% success rate.

And to demonstrate how it works, he’s released several examples of celebrity youngsters and how they will look in the future.

Images of the royal tots Prince George and Princess Charlotte were among the first to be processed.

Fast-forward 18 months, and will Princess Charlotte look like this?

And it looks like good news for the third-in-line to the throne and his little sister.

If the technology is any good, then 2-year-old Prince George will bear a strong resemblance to his dad Prince William as he hits adulthood.

He will also maintain his youthful looks as he progresses into middle age, before his hair greys aged 60.

His 6-month-old sibling, meanwhile, will remain young and fresh-faced well into her sixties - if the predictions are correct.

David Beckham’s daughter Harper and Simon Cowell’s son Eric joined Prince George and Princess Charlotte in being given the predictor treatment.

They are all imagined at ages two, seven, 20, 40 and 60.

“We think we can predict the future appearance of Prince George, Princess Charlotte or any other child with about 80 per cent accuracy,” Ugail told The Sunday Times.

It’s decades away, but will Princess Charlotte look like this when she’s 60?

“We used Kate and William [and other celebrities] because images of them and their children are so widely available,” he added.

The app may eventually prove popular with parents keen to know how their offspring will develop.

But of course, it won’t be until the youngsters hit those landmark ages that the accuracy of the software will be truly known.

Ugail said that, to tackle that issue, he simply reversed the process and “de-aged” celebrities before comparing them with pictures from their childhood.

The results, he said, were “striking.”
