Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge are having a baby - now these newly-released images reveal what the child may look like.

Popular website 'Morph Thing' creator Charanjeet Kondal has taken William and Kate's unique features and morphed them.

Bizarrely it's the male child that seems to look more like Kate, while the female child looks more like her dad.

Charanjeet, from Birmingham, said he trusted his profiling system's ability to posit a close resemblance of how the child will look.

He said: "On each image focal features like the nose, eyes, mouth and eyebrows are taken and combined to find an average between them

"That average is then taken from both images and then that average is combined to create the final image.

"I am quite excited to see if my system prediction is right and I wish the couple all the best."

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby, St James's Palace announced yesterday.

The palace said the duchess was admitted to the King Edward VII Hospital in central London with acute morning sickness and is expected to stay in hospital for several days. The couple married to a chorus of national adulation in April 2011.
