Kate Middleton and Prince William’s kids gave an adorable royal round of applause for healthcare workers

While most of us are practicing social distancing or sheltering in place in our homes, healthcare workers are on the front lines fighting coronavirus (COVID-19). Kate Middleton and Prince William’s trio of children wanted to show some support to those doctors, nurses, and other workers by giving them a round of applause. The Instagram video of them clapping is both adorable and part of a larger viral campaign to show healthcare workers that we see all that they are doing for us.

“To all the doctors, nurses, carers, GPs, pharmacists, volunteers, and other NHS staff working tirelessly to help those affected by #COVID19: thank you,” Kensington Royal captioned its video. NHS is the National Health Service, the UK’s public healthcare system. The caption also called out the hashtags #ClapForOurCarers, #ClapForCarers, #ThankYouNHS, and #ClapForNHS.

Princes George and Louis and Princess Charlotte are giving us the feel-good content we crave in these stressful times.

And, can we just say: We can’t believe how grown-up these three look! Prince George is starting to look so much like his father, Prince William.

Will and Kate’s children aren’t the only royals to join the Clap for Carers viral campaign. Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla took inspiration from their grandchildren and posted their own videos applauding NHS workers. The husband and wife recorded their videos separately, as Prince Charles has tested positive for coronavirus and is self-isolating. His clapping video is his first “appearance” since he announced his diagnosis.

Of course, it’s not just the royal family sending gratitude to healthcare workers in the UK. The hashtags #ClapForOurCarers and #ThankYouNHS trended all day yesterday, March 26th, as millions of people sent their thanks, according to The Guardian. The organizer of the viral campaign, Annemarie Plas, told the publication that she was “so grateful” to see what “originated as an idea between a few friends reach national proportions.”

If we can support healthcare workers amid the coronavirus pandemic while getting adorable royal children content, it’s truly a win-win.
