Two little news moments this week between Kate Middleton and Prince William prompted worry among some fans that their relationship may be in trouble. But rest assured: sources have told People and TMZ the two are just fine.

Kate's shaking off Prince William's PDA on A Berry Royal Christmas and their driving in separate cars to the Queen's Christmas lunch prompted the rift rumors. TMZ was told by sources that there are explanations for both of these things: multiple sources insisted on the Mary Berry Christmas special that "the whole interaction was taken out of context from the rest of the TV special, and what most folks didn't see was Will and Kate being very affectionate and close-knit."

With George and William driving separate from Kate, Louis, and Charlotte, "Prince George and William needed to be at Buckingham Palace 30 minutes earlier for a special event—which sources say will soon be made public, and explain the whole car situation," TMZ wrote. The outlet did note it was a little skeptical though: "The sources we've spoken with have generally been fair and accurate in the past, but we're not naive. There's a lot riding on that marriage, and damage control always looms."

Meanwhile, People devoted its cover story to how peachy things are between Kate and Willian. “They look after each other but in different ways,” a friend told the outlet. “Some people might say it’s an old-fashioned marriage, but it seems to work. They have different roles, but they come together as a team.”
