So, Kate Middleton and Prince William Went on a Discreet Ski Trip to the Alps
Kate Middleton and Prince William went on a discreet ski trip with their family over the New Year, and we, the people, are only just hearing about it. According to the Daily Mail, the couple "slipped away from their home at Anmer on the Sandringham estate shortly after Christmas" and spent several days in the Alps—where they were joined by Kate's family.
Apparently, Kate and William (plus their kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis) were spotted at a mountaintop restaurant—and naturally a staff member was down to dish. "It was lovely to see Kate relaxing and enjoying herself," the told the Daily Mail. "They looked like a normal English family, and a lot of people didn't recognize them. It was not the first time we had seen them. They have been coming here for years. I think they love the area. We often see Kate's sister Pippa as well."
The couple are back to their usual schedule of royal engagements now that they're home. In fact, Kate recently made a post-trip appearance to the hospital where she received preventative chemotherapy, and announced her remission from cancer shortly after.
"It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focussed on recovery," she wrote in a statement. "As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support. C."
