Visiting London’s Foundling Museum on Tuesday morning, the 35-year-old royal said, “It’s such exciting news. It’s a really happy time for any couple and we wish them all the best and hope they enjoy this happy moment.”
Kate Middleton, who’s expecting her third child in April, was on hand to meet families and children who have benefitted from the museum’s education and outreach programs.
For the occasion, the mother-of-two wore a printed shirt dress from Kate Spade that she paired with suede burgundy heels and a matching clutch.
Middleton’s outing comes just a day after her brother-in-law’s announcement about his nuptials, which will take place in May. Prince Harry and Markle, who sat down for their first joint interview on Monday, spoke fondly of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
“I’d been seeing [Meghan] for a period of time when I literally didn’t tell anybody at all,” Harry told the BBC. “And then William was longing to meet her and so was Catherine, so you know, being our neighbors, we managed to get that in a couple of, well, quite a few times now, and Catherine has been absolutely amazing, as has William as well, you know, fantastic support.”
Markle added that the duchess has been “wonderful” towards her.
