Kate Middleton’s sold out Orla Kiely dress: 5 alternatives to the pink maternity piece

Kate Middleton stepped out for a second time yesterday since announcing that she is pregnant with her third child, which is due in April.

Since Kensington Palace officially released the news on September 4, The Duchess Of Cambridge has had to miss several royal engagements, including Prince George’s first day of school due to suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum, an acute form of morning sickness.

However, it seemed the Duchess was feeling much better as she made a surprise appearance, joining the Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry to celebrate the film Paddington 2, at Paddington Station.

The film launch helped to support several children's charities of which Kate, William and Harry are all patrons. The event involved children from over 30 organisations who were chosen to have a fun-filled day boarding the Belmond British Pullman train and meeting Paddington Bear himself.

Kate looked well and rosy-cheeked as she sported a new shorter hairdo, and covered her tiny baby bump in a floral embroidered blush pink dress.

The floral number was surprisingly not by Kate’s favourite designers Temperley London or Erdem. Instead, the Duchess chose to wear a design by Irish fashion designer Orla Kiely, which was from her autumn collection way back in 2013.

In recent years Kate has been a fan of the bold print designer, and has been seen wearing several of Kiely’s affordable designs since 2012.

Retailing at a modest £348, the plush pink dress is certainly one of the more affordable outfits Kate has worn in recent months.

Unsurprisingly, the dress has already sold-out, but not to fear, here are 5 affordable ways to get the look:
