Kate Middleton supported after health update

Kate Middleton has shared an update on her health journey after she was diagnosed with cancer in March 2024. The Princess of Wales has announced she is in 'remission' and remains focused on recovery.

The Royal visited the Royal Marsden Hospital in London today, the hospital she was treated at. She thanked medical teams and offered support to patients who are currently being treated.

In a message shared to the official Prince and Princess of Wales X account, formerly known as Twitter. Kate said: "I wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to The Royal Marsden for looking after me so well during the past year. My heartfelt thanks goes to all those who have quietly walked alongside William and me as we have navigated everything.

She continued: "We couldn’t have asked for more. The care and advice we have received throughout my time as a patient has been exceptional. In my new role as Joint Patron of The Royal Marsden, my hope is, that by supporting ground-breaking research and clinical excellence, as well as promoting patient and family wellbeing, we might save many more lives, and transform the experience of all those impacted by cancer.

Giving the latest update into her cancer journey, Kate stated: "It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focused on recovery. As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support. C."

Supporters took to the comments to send well wishes. Responses included "Yay! So happy to hear that! We love you, Catherine!" and "Great to hear you’re in remission and recovering. Hope 2025 is even better for you and your fam."

Further supportive messages were "Strong, how you fight with the affected people and help them with your warmth and kindness" and "Such wonderful, heartwarming news about your health paired with a beautiful, heartfelt message to the brilliant doctors,nurses,staff and volunteers of Royal Marsden!"

Last week, Kate celebrated her 43rd birthday. Prince William wrote a heartfelt message to his wife, he said: "To the most incredible wife and mother. The strength you’ve shown over the last year has been remarkable. George, Charlotte, Louis and I are so proud of you. Happy Birthday, Catherine. We love you. W"

An unseen black and white snap of the Princess was used by William. The black and white snap showed Kate in Windsor, smiling with her hands in her pockets and looking away from the camera. Replies to the post were filled with support and well wishes. One comment said "What a beautiful, heartfelt tribute. Happy birthday, lovely Catherine! Wishing you health, happiness, lots of love, laughter, fun, and sunshine in your heart. May all your wishes come true."
