Kate Middleton's comment to Sophie Wessex on Remembrance Day revealed by lip reader
The Princess of Wales found an ally in the Duchess of Edinburgh as she made a heartfelt appearance at one of the year's touching moments. Kate attended the sombre Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph, marking her incremental return to Royal engagements following her battle with cancer as she observed the wreath-laying from the balcony of the Foreign Office.
With Queen Camilla unable to attend due to a chest infection, Kate was initially set for a solo moment on the central balcony. However, in a show of solidarity, Sophie was moved from her earlier assigned spot with the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester to accompany Kate, emphasising their united front.
A conversation between Kate and Sophie caught the eye at the ceremony's outset, where the pair were seen exchanging words and smiles. Lip reader Kayleigh Harris revealed to The Sun a snippet of their exchange.

Kate allegedly said to Sophie: "She will be supported in this." Sophie reportedly responded with: "Yes, and especially..." but the exact context continues to be a mystery.
This interaction comes amid claims from a body language specialist that Sophie subtly signalled Prince William during the event by exhibiting a tender gesture towards Kate. As they left the balcony when the service concluded, Sophie tenderly placed her hand on Kate's back, seemingly offering comfort and reassurance.
During today's service, Kate donned three red poppies, often speculated to honour her great-grandmother's three brothers who all perished in the First World War. Her diamond and pearl drop earrings were once owned by the late Queen, and she also sported her silver Queen's Dragoon Guards brooch a tribute to her position as the regiment's Colonel-in-Chief beneath her poppies.
Kate has been present every year since, including 2020 when she appeared on the balcony, maintaining social distance from Camilla, during the Covid pandemic. The increasingly frail late Elizabeth II missed the service due to a sprained back.
