Katherine Ryan has revealed that she's welcomed her second child.

It comes just a few weeks after the comedian shared that she and partner Bobby Kootstra were expecting their first child together.

Posting a photo of herself in bed with the wrapped-up infant, the 37-year-old remarked on her Instagram story: "I have a really good reason why yesterday's podcast is late."

"Eagerly arriving just before kickoff," she noted.

Ryan did not state the gender or name of the baby. She's already a mother to daughter Violet, 11, from a previous relationship.

Kootstra and Ryan were childhood sweethearts, both hailing from the same town in Canada. They entered into a civil partnership in 2019.

The mother-of-two shared that she was pregnant towards the end of last month, making the announcement during a live recording of her podcast Telling Everybody Everything.

At the beginning of the year, Ryan opened up on suffering a miscarriage in early 2020 after Meghan Markle spoke publicly on her own experience of baby loss.

"Once you experience a loss like that I don’t think you ever feel the same way with a pregnancy,” Ryan said.
