Katie Price is firing back at critics who are accusing her of letting her 9-year-old daughter pose for pictures that are 'too sexy'.

After the model and reality star shared photos from her island holiday with her children last week, some people said shots of her young daughter Princess were inappropriate.

Princess is seen wearing makeup and recreating one of her mother's classic poses in one Instagram photo - but Pricey insists that there's nothing in appropriate about it.

"At the end of the day, Princess has seen me and Pete do pictures since she was born," Katie insisted on Loose Women on Tuesday (April 11). "If I said to her, 'Don't do that pose, it's too sexy', she'd look at me and think, 'What do you mean?'

"She doesn't know what sexy is, she's just watched the best! Maybe the people who look at the pictures should question why they think a 9-year-old looks sexy."

Katie also accused the media of having a double standard since they don't criticise her 11-year-old son Junior for imitating his dad Peter Andre on social media.

"They don't have a go at Junior, and he likes to do the six-pack shot because his dad does," she insisted. "They've grown up in that world. Her and her friends all do it, but she gets the stick for it. They're jealous because she's a pretty girl. I don't care what they say."

Katie's decision to allow 9-year-old Princess to have an Instagram account has been controversial from the off, with Peter Andre even publicly opposing his ex-wife's decision.

"Everyone knows I don't allow them to have phones or social media at my house, but I guess it doesn't necessarily mean to say I'm right," he complained.

"I don't like kids having them because I think it opens them up to all sorts of issues, but as a parent, you have to compromise with the other parent and try to work together.

"I can only advise and encourage them – I can't do any more."
