Katie Price was rushed to hospital with facial injuries after she was allegedly attacked in the early hours of Monday.

Police were alerted to the scene at a property, in Essex shortly after 1.30am.

The mother-of-five — who is engaged to marry her eighth fiancé Carl Woods — is “safe”, a source close to the star told The Evening Standard.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and remains held in custody.

Essex Police said in a statement: “We were called by colleagues in the ambulance service to reports of an assault in Little Canfield, shortly after 1.30am this morning, Monday 23 August.

“We arrived and found a woman had sustained a facial injury which required hospital treatment.

“A man was arrested a short time later on suspicion of assault. He remains in custody.”

Katie has plans to head down the aisle for the fourth time later this year.

The TV sensation has five children — Harvey, Junior, Princess, Jett and Bunny — whom she is totally devoted to.

It comes after she recently celebrated her son Junior getting a record deal as he plans to follow both his parents, Ms Price and singer Peter Andre, into the spotlight.
