The Katie Price movie: 10 shocking things Price's biopic MUST include

According to reports, Katie Price is hoping to sell the rights to her life story in a desperate last ditch effort to avoid bankruptcy.

Price, who was once worth an estimated £45 million, has been given three months by High Court to create a debt repayment plan and avoid bankruptcy.

A source told The Sun, “She thinks that people would be queuing up to see a film about her life. It’s got everything – heartbreak, betrayal, near death experiences.

“Recently, she’s asked her team to shop around the idea of selling the rights to her books and the story of her life in the hope that she can get a big payday in exchange.”

Indeed, there’s no denying that Katie Price has lived a full, wild life, that certainly would make good movie fodder. While we have no idea who’d play ‘The Pricey,’ here are ten moments we think a movie about the prolific former glamour model’s life absolutely must include:

Her evolving Look

Surely Price’s shocking physical transformation would be a key story arc in her life story movie. Price first caught the limelight as a fresh-faced teenager in 1996 when she began gracing the pages of The Sun as a Page 3 model. She was outspoken about wanting a larger bust throughout her rise to fame, and ignored letters from concerned fans to not go through with the operation.

By 19 she had her first breast enlargement surgery, and as any fan of the glamour model knows, there were many, many more surgical procedures to come. To date, Price’s surgical procedures include multiple breast enlargements, rhinoplasty, veneers and a face lift. She has also had plenty of non-surgical cosmetic treatments, including Botox and lip injections.

Taking Gareth Gates virginity (while pregnant)

It would be just wrong to leave out this pivotal part of Pop Idol Gareth Gates life in any movie concerning Katie Price’s life. The stuttering crooner’s virginity was taken by our Pricey when he was just 17-years-old. And the best part? She was pregnant with son Harvey at the time.

Finding love in the jungle

Katie Price met her first husband and father to her children Junior and Princess when they both competed on ITV’s 2004 series of I’m a Celebrity…Get me out of here!” The washed up Mysterious Girl singer and Price’s attraction was instantaneous and they were married in a lavish Cinderella style wedding the following year.

The couple starred in various successful ITV2 reality series about their chaotic and oftentimes unintentionally hilarious lifestyles. But it was all over by 2009, when the two split, with both sides claiming infidelity.

Price has said multiple times since their split that Andre was the true love of her life, so of course he would need to be heavily included in the movie. Just who would be the lucky man to play him…

Her failed singing career

Price says she’s always been interested in pursuing a singing career in addition to her modelling ambitions. And in 2005, with the help of pop singer hubby Andre, she almost got there. Price competed for a chance to sing for Britain for that year’s EuroVision. This included a shocking performance dressed in a bright pink catsuit while heavily pregnant with son Junior.

Sadly, she only made it as far as runner-up, but her 2010 joint album ‘A Whole New World” with Andre sold over 150k copies. Pretty impressive considering the quality of the non-autotuned version of their single A Whole New World which is still floating around YouTube today.

Her turn as a bestselling ‘author’

Price’s entrepreneurial spirit would undoubtedly need to be covered in the movie, and this would surely be emphasised as one of her most impressive qualities. Indeed, Price has flogged all sorts, from equestrian gear to bed linens to even books – and plenty of them.

She’s topped the UK bestselling list multiple times and her books span autobiographical, adult and children’s fiction. To date her literary works include six autobiographies and eleven novels.

While she’s openly admitted to using ghost writers, by 2009 her books had already sold close to three million copies.

Her son Harvey’s ongoing health battles

Price gave birth to son Harvey in 2002. According to her, the father former footballer Dwight Yorke, has never played an active role in Harvey’s life. Price has been very much a single mum when it comes to Harvey, who has been plagued with multiple health conditions including suffering from Septo-optic dysplasia, Prader-Will syndrome, autism and diabetes.

A movie would surely need to emphasis her role as a caretaker to Harvey and her ongoing struggle to give him the best future possible.

Her turbulent relationship with crossdresser Alex Reid

Shortly after Price’s divorce from Andre, she began dating cross-dressing MMA fighter and former Hollyoaks actor Alex Reid. They married in February 2010 in Las Vegas, and were separated by January 2011.

The two have been trashing one another in the press for years, with Reid recounting his marriage to Price as his “prostitute years” and Price alluding that Reid is a closeted homosexual and that his drag alter-ego of “Roxeanne” played a major role in their relationship’s demise. We doubt her short-lived yet tumultuous relationship with Reid would be part of a “the one that got away” storyline in the movie, but it would definitely need to be included.

Her online trolling of other celebrities and ‘friends’

Katie Price became an online “troll” and engaged in Twitter wars long before they became things. She’s never been afraid to voice abuse at rival celebrities and she’s also had some epic fallings out with ‘friends.’

This would show Katie’s more feisty side in the movie and add a layer to her arguably complex personality. She’s gone after Victoria Beckham many times and claimed that her husband David Beckham made a move on her when Victoria was recording “Out of Your Mind” single with Price’s ex-Dane Bowers. She also said last year on “Loose Women” that Victoria had “horrible teeth.”

And let’s now forget her on-and-off decade long feud with Kerry Katona. The pair have trolled one another multiple times on social media. However, the pair seem to be “on” now, and Price even claimed this year that Katona is her best friend.

Her third husband’s cheating scandals

It’s pretty difficult to be shocked by Price after decades now of chaotic lifestyle choices, but more than a few eyebrows were raised when she married unknown former male stripper Kieran Hayler in 2013.

They married after just two months of dating and met under rather bizarre circumstances – Blackberry messenger. They have had two children together – Jett and Bunny.

Unfortunately, this will provide another unlucky in love example in her movie life-story, as the pair are currently caught up in a contentious divorce. Hayler also earned frontpage headlines after having an affair with Price’s best friend of 20 years Jane Pountney, other friend Chrissy Thomas and finally the couple’s nanny Nikki Brown.

Her mother’s tragic health diagnosis

Last but by no mean’s least, is the tragic news that Price’s mother, Amy Price has terminal lung condition idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. She has been given just a few years to live, and Price has even offered to donate one of her lungs to save her. Amy has been there for Katie throughout her life, and often appeared as a pillar of support and reason in her reality shows. The diagnosis runs parallel to Katie’s finance woes, creating for an extra tragic angle for a potential ending of the film.
