Katie Price has announced she is taking a break from the “horrible” world of social media.
The 41-year-old mother-of-five admitted she was “absolutely heartbroken”.
Price wrote on Instagram: "I've decided to take a break from this horrible media world.
"I'm absolutely heart broken.. I'm having a dramatic change in my life for the better. I don't want to have to read or see anything in the press about me, my family & friends or my exes.
"This has all got to stop!
“I’ll be back when I’m ready.”
Price is an avid user of social media, documenting her life on Instagram and YouTube as well as starring in her own reality show My Crazy Life.
Last year the former model split from her fiance Kris Boyson and was declared bankrupt.
2019 also saw the reality star fined for pleading guilty to using abusive and threatening behaviour towards her ex-partner’s girlfriend, and lose her driving licence after being convicted of being drunk in charge of her pink Range Rover for a second time.
Price - who is mother to 17-year-old Harvey, whose father is footballer Dwight Yorke, 14-year-old son Junior and 12-year-old Princess with ex Peter Andre and five-year-old son Jett and four-year-old daughter Bunny with third husband Kieran Hayler - has also been battling to defend disabled Harvey from social media trolls.
In January she wrote on Instagram: “Just want to thank all my loyal fans and supporters who have stood by me throughout a difficult year!
“I appreciate you all and I am looking forward to a very exciting fresh beginning to 2020.”
