Katie Price has shared her shock at being in Westminster at the time of the terror attack on Parliament.

Price, 38, was stuck in traffic near Westminster Bridge after leaving ITV studios earlier this afternoon following her appearance on Loose Women.

The former glamour model was unaware of the incident as she approached the area and asked her Twitter followers what was happening.

She tweeted: “Does anyone know what's happened on Westminster bridge hell of a lot of police cars ambulance traffic.”

She later posted: “Omg I was right by Westminster when it just happened, like a scene from a film.”

A representative for Price confirmed that she is “fine”.

A man was shot outside the Houses of Parliament and a police officer was stabbed during the incident earlier this afternoon which also saw a car mow down pedestrians on Westminster Bridge.

Four people have died, including a police officer and the assailant. Others have suffered "catastrophic injuries" according to a junior doctor at nearby St Thomas' Hospital.

A Scotland Yard spokesman confirmed the attack was being treated as “a terrorist incident until we know otherwise”.

Londoners have been warned to avoid Parliament Square, Whitehall, Westminster Bridge, Lambeth Bridge, Victoria Street up to the junction with Broadway and the Victoria Embankment up to Embankment tube.
