It comes just a few months after Junior’s dad Peter tested positive for the virus.
The Mysterious Girl singer had COVID in January and later told how he had suffered a cough and body aches.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain, he said: “I didn’t have a temperature, I had body aches, I had a cough but it wasn’t as persistent as what I had been told but it was persistent enough that I went and got a test.
“The key thing about that was, once I went and got the test, we self-isolated for 10 days so we knew once we got that positive result, that in that 10 days we could not infect anyone else.
“There was a couple of days, it was very unpleasant but people have had it far worse than me.”
Peter’s wife Emily, who is a doctor, caught the coronavirus in 2020.
Speaking on Loose Women last month, she said Peter felt “quite anxious” when he caught it himself.
“When Pete had it a bit more recently, I felt more relaxed. He didn’t, going through it himself he felt quite anxious,” she said.
“But I felt quite relaxed and I tried to put that across to the kids so they didn’t feel worried and anxious.
