Katy Perry Details Her and Orlando Bloom's 'Hot and Fast' Arguments and When They Decide to 'Move On'
"We are a loud family. We call ourselves the chaos crew. We are fire, fire, fire," said Perry in a new interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe
There's a lot of energy in the Perry-Bloom household.
Katy Perry opened up about her and fiancé Orlando Bloom's relationship as well as their "hot and fast" arguments in a new interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe on Sept. 19 to promote her new album, 143, out now.
The "Lifetimes" singer spoke about how her and Bloom's personalities have impacted their 4-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove. "She’s just not shy. She’s a product of both parents being very bold," she said.

"Orlando and I, when we argue, we argue kinda hot and fast and then cool really quickly," Perry explained. "It’s like, ‘La la la la la, I love you. Alright, let’s move on.’"
Describing them as a "loud family," the former American Idol judge detailed, "We call ourselves the chaos crew. We are fire, fire, fire, and so she sees all of that."
Perry then spoke about Bloom's energy as a romantic partner. "He's a real sage. We both have parts of ourselves. There's two parts of us, our highest good, and then our carnal, material self. Ego," she said. "When the ego is running the show, then it's like, 'Whoa.' But when that's in check, then we're both something else."

The couple met at a Golden Globes afterparty in January 2016, before which, the "Woman's World" artist told Lowe, she was "stuck in a bad, continuing loop" and wanted someone as curious about life as she is.
Prior to attending the Golden Globes, Perry "set so many intentions" under a full moon for the potential future in hopes of seeing "what's out there in the world" romantically. She also chose a rose quartz dress specifically to "attract the love that I want."

"The two things I wrote down very specifically is I want someone to meet me in the adventure department, because I love adventure," she said. "I mean, we just jumped out of a helicopter together."
Since they got engaged 2019 and welcomed Daisy the following year, Perry has learned a lot about Bloom and continuously feels like he's a solid partner and co-parent.
"I mean, life is not peachy keen, jelly bean. It's about who you are in those really challenging moments," she explained, "and I get to see who he is in those challenging moments. And it's why I chose him."
