Katy Perry Leads Support For Leslie Jones Following Website Hacking Scandal

Katy Perry has publicly showcased her support for Ghostbusters star Leslie Jones after her website was hacked and bombarded with stolen nude images of the actress.

Disgusting trolls shared a selection of indecent images that are allegedly of Leslie and also posted pictures of her passport and driver’s license as well as a spew of vile racist abuse.

Katy was understandably horrified by the news of the hacking as she took to social media shortly after the story broke to urge her followers to do right by Leslie.

The singer wrote: “Do not give your eyeballs to this racist, hate-filled, misogynoir crime. I #StandWithLeslie”.

Leslie’s Ghostbusters’ director, Paul Feig, also took to social media, sharing; “What’s happening to @Lesdoggg is an absolute outrage.

"Alt right, haters, trolls, ‘comedians,’ whoever the f*ck you all are, you’re just sad.”

Lena Dunham added: “Let’s turn our anger at trolls into love for Leslie Jones and into strategies to protect all the heroines who don’t deserve this bullshit.”

The Help star Octavia Spencer also supported Leslie, writing: “This @Lesdoggg attack is troubling. The rampant racism percolating in society right now is shameful and sad. She made a movie, that’s it!”

Leslie’s Saturday Night Live co-stars rallied around the actress, dubbing the abhorrent acts “a racist violent assault” and the trolls behind the attack: “the worst of humanity”.

Leslie’s website was deleted shortly after the hack took place, the star has not commented on the violation but previously admitted that she was sadly “used” to insults after she was bombarded with racist abuse following her casting in Ghostbusters.
