Katy Perry leads the way to the dance floor at the Universal Brits after party

It was only right Katy Perry was in the mood to celebrate after putting on a show-stopping performance at the Brit Awards on Wednesday night.

The American singer, 32, continued her Brit celebrations at the Universal Music after party which was held at 180 Strand in London.

The party got into full swing as Katy teamed up with BBC Radio 1’s Nick Grimshaw behind the DJ booth to select tunes to get the crowd on the dance floor.

Katy stole the show wearing a floral sheer jumpsuit which she teamed with a red open-toed high heels.

Pop star Ellie Goulding was also on hand to help the duo at the star-studded bash which was hosted by Soho house and Barcardi Rum.

Other celebs hitting the dance floor included Nicole Scherzinger, Pixie Lott, James Arthur, Sophie Dahl and Jamie Cullum.

Also in attendance was Emeli Sandé who was in good spirits after winning Best British Female Solo artist beating stiff competition from Lianne La Havas, Nao and Ellie Goulding.

Speaking to Yahoo! celeb about her in, she said: “It was really unexpected and it was a surprise to get that acknowledgement . I’ve come a really long way”.

The 29-year-old songstress also revealed that she had no intentions of succumbing to a post-Brit hangover as she planned to dance the alcohol out of her system.

She said: “My best hangover cure is dancing”.

Guests at the bash were treated to an array of delicious cocktails by Barcardi and feasted on hearty beef and mash dinner. Yummy, can we party like its the Brits every day!
