Kayaker Spots Basking Shark in Cornwall, England

A kayaker spotted a basking shark swimming near the ocean’s surface off Penberth Cove in Cornwall, England, on April 18, filming the moment it swam beneath his watercraft.

Basking sharks can be spotted in the UK between May and October, said SharkTrust.. According to The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, they are passive feeders and swim with their mouths wide open to feed on morsels that might get in their way. Credit: The Lone Kayaker via Storyful
