Kayakers Plunge Down Raging Waterfall in Northern New South Wales

A pair of kayakers took on a raging waterfall in northern New South Wales on December 14, as recent rainfall caused rivers to surge and prompted flood warnings.

This footage, shot by North Dorrigo resident Riley Carter, shows the kayakers taking on the surging river by paddling off the waterfall’s edge.

Flood warnings were issued by the Bureau of Meteorology across the state’s Mid-North Coast and Northern River region amid heavy rainfall. Some parts received more than 200 millimetres of rain in 24 hours adding to the flooding in the state’s northeast. Credit: Riley Carter via Storyful
