'Keep Running': Police Bemused by Passenger Who Ran From Traffic Stop Like 'Forrest Gump'

Police in Pottsville, Arkansas, posted unusual footage on October 30 showing the back-seat passenger of a car exiting the vehicle, dropping a bag that police said had nothing illegal in it, and running, as police put it, like “Forrest Gump.”

The Pottsville Arkansas Police Department released video on Facebook of a man exiting a vehicle and sprinting off into the distance. “Keep running,” an officer says in the video.

“When you got things to do and don’t have time to wait but get stopped on Pine Ridge Road?!” the caption accompanying the video read.

“The driver got a warning for the stop but didn’t know who he was or why he ran. Plus, the bag had nothing illegal in it,” the police added.

Police said they were not looking for the man and that there was no reason to be alarmed. Credit: Pottsville Arkansas Police Department via Storyful
