Kardashian fans are soon going to have to rely on social media to keep up with their favorite family.
On Tuesday, Sept. 8, Kim Kardashian West announced on Instagram that the family’s reality show, “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” will be coming to an end after the final season airs in early 2021.
According to her announcement, the decision to “say goodbye to ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians'” was made as a family — and it wasn’t an easy one.
“After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and numerous spin-off shows, we are beyond grateful to all of you who’ve watched us for all of these years,” Kardashian West wrote. “We’ll forever cherish the wonderful memories and countless people we’ve met along the way.”
“Without ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians,’ I wouldn’t be where I am today,” she continued. “I am so incredibly grateful to everyone who has watched and supported me and my family these past 14 incredible years. This show made us who we are and I will be forever in debt to everyone who played a role in shaping our careers and changing our lives forever.”
Khloé Kardashian also shared a statement to her social media accounts about the decision to end “KUWTK.”
“I am so grateful and thankful to everyone who has supported us and been there through it all,” she said. “I’m too emotional to fully express myself at the moment. My sappy post will come soon. Change is hard but also needed at times … Thank you for the memories!”
“Keeping Up With the Kardashians” premiered on E! back in 2007. Since then, the show has had numerous spin-offs, including “Kourtney & Khloé Take Miami,” “Kourtney & Kim Take New York,” “Khloé & Lamar” and “Kourtney & Khloé Take The Hamptons.”
The final season of “KUWTK” premires Sept. 17 on E!
