Keira Knightley reveals her one hope for fans watching new film The Aftermath

Keira Knightley has revealed her one hope for film fans who watch her new film, The Aftermath.

The new drama, produced by Ridley Scott, follows Knightley's Rachael Morgan who learns, after being reunited with her husband (Jason Clarke) in postwar Hamburg, they'll be sharing the house with its previous owner - a German widower named Stefan (Alexander Skarsgård).

In an exclusive new featurette, Knightley and Clarke share details about their characters, alongside Scott who says the film's story exists in a 'fresh arena“.

“I hope that when people see it they're as moved as I was when I read the script,” Knightley says in the clip, adding that “the themes in the piece really stuck with” her.

The Aftermath is directed by James Kent and was adapted by Joe Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse from Rhidian Brooks's 2013 novel of the same name.

It will receive its premiere at the Glasgow Film Festival on 26 February ahead of its UK release in cinemas on 1 March.
