As part of a new comedy sketch show – aptly named The Keith and Paddy Picture show – celebrities will be taking to the small screen to pay homage to their favourite films of all time.

Ghostbusters and Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi have been confirmed as the final films to be recreated in the brand new five-part series, which will feature parodies intercut with behind-the-scenes mock-doc footage.

Proving he ain’t afraid of no ghosts, Robbie will star as the most awkward member of the crew, Egon, alongside Celebrity Big Brother presenter Emma Willis as Janine, actress Sarah Parish as Dana and former footballer Chris Kamara as Ray Parker Jnr.

Speaking about his stint on the show, the Rudebox hitmaker said: “I had such a laugh with Keith and Paddy filming Ghostbusters and I’m thrilled to be playing Egon.”

Elsewhere, actress Michelle Keegan will be joining the cast of the Star Wars spoof to play Princess Leia, while Ant and Dec will adorably appear as Ewoks alongside presenter Phillip Schofield as Yoda, David Dickinson as The Emperor and Jeremy Kyle – who will (oddly) appear as himself.

Discussing her role as the intergalactic princess, Michelle said: “I’m excited to be part of this new show with Keith and Paddy and thrilled to be taking on the iconic role of Princess Leia, a strong, female heroine and all round Star Wars legend.

“I had so much fun and we had such a laugh filming that I can’t wait for everyone to see the final result.”

Other iconic films set to receive the Keith and Paddy treatment include Rocky, Jaws and Dirty Dancing (cue squeals and sighs).

The Keith and Paddy Picture Show is due to air on ITV in April.
