Keith Whitehouse: Manhunt for escaped convict jailed for brutal rape and killing in 1991
Police are searching for a man jailed for the brutal rape and killing of a woman in 1991 after he absconded from prison.
Members of the public have been warned not to approach Keith Whitehouse, who was last seen at HMP Leyhill in South Gloucestershire on Saturday evening.
He failed to appear for roll call at the jail nearly four hours later.
Whitehouse, who is 6ft 5in, was part-way through a life sentence for the manslaughter of Suzanne Bromiley, 21, in Brighton.

He killed her whilst he was on leave from jail in Warrington where he was serving a 30-month sentence for kidnap.
In 1992, Whitehouse pleaded guilty to manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility.
