Kelvin Fletcher has joyfully revealed that a second series of his show, Fletchers' Family Farm, will be coming soon.

The actor, best known for his role as Andy Sugden on the ITV soap Emmerdale from 1996 to 2016, has been documenting life on his farm in the Peak District since he took on the operation in 2022. The 120-acre farm, located in the village of Wincle near Cheshire, is set to feature again on screen later this year, delving into the day-to-day lives of the six-strong family.

ITV have assured viewers that the brand new 10-part series will be packed with even more adventures than the first, as the family expands their livestock and faces the lambing season head-on, reports the Mirror. Talking about the next instalment of the series, Kelvin said: "We're incredibly excited to return to filming for the second series of Fletchers' Family Farm.

"The response from our viewers has been truly heartwarming and inspiring!". His wife Liz said: "It's a genuine honour to invite the viewers back to our farm as we continue on this journey."

ITV's Assistant Commissioner Entertainment and Daytime, Leanne Clarke, added: "We are thrilled to have Kelvin, Liz and the family return for a second series. The last series was an exciting one, as well as being extremely entertaining and insightful for viewers at home. We can't wait to have them all back on our screens!"

In addition to hosting a popular TV show, the family's farm is open for public visits on select days. Previously, the couple invited visitors during the Christmas, Spring, and summer periods.

However, fans might not have to wait much longer for Kelvin Fletcher to reprise his role as Andy if his 2023 social media post is anything to go by. After an episode where viewers witnessed Sam Dingle being wrongfully accused by Will Kim Tate's husband of stealing a valuable watch, Kelvin couldn't resist stepping in.

He took to social media to express his thoughts: "If he touches Sam like that again I'm coming back to sort it."

Fans swiftly responded to his promise. One follower urged him to "Do it" while another chimed in with: "It would be brilliant to see you back."

Kelvin left Emmerdale back in 2016 after playing Andy for 20 years. Following his final scene for the soap, it wasn't long before he started training for Strictly Come Dancing with professional partner Oti Mabuse. He won the hearts and votes of the judges and viewers alike with numerous stunning routines, eventually winning the coveted glitterball trophy in 2019.
