Kendal Calling partners with Twitch to livestream festival performances

From The Fields - creators of the award-winning festival Kendal Calling - has partnered with social video platform Twitch to broadcast live throughout the sold-out event.

This year's festival takes place between 27 – 30 July at Lowther Deer Park in the beautiful Lake District.

Kendal Calling will handle the in-house video and Twitch will handle production of the live stream of key performances and content.

Confirmed to appear on the Twitch livestream stream so far are Stereophonics, Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls, Happy Mondays, Frightened Rabbit, Seasick Steve, White, Post War Glamour Girls, The Hunna, Fickle Friends, The DMA’s, The Lancashire Hotpots, Stilia, Dantevilles, and many more to be announced.

Andy Smith, promoter, Kendal Calling said: "We've very excited to announce that Kendal Calling will be streaming live on Twitch this year! For the first time you'll be able to watch performances from the main stage, Tim Peaks, Calling Out and Glow tent live from the comfort of your home or - for the less hardy festival goer - your tent. This is especially useful since the festival sold out faster than ever back in February and sadly some of the usual faces missed out on their tickets. Well, here's your chance to digitally join us in the fields.”

Headlining the festival are Stereophonics and Manic Street Preachers with Frank Turner, Franz Ferdinand, Tinie Tempah, Editors and Jake Bugg also performing.

The legendary Brian Wilson will return to the UK to perform his final show of 'Pet Sounds' in its entirety.

Up and coming acts come in the shape of Loyle Carner, Fickle Friends, Honeyblood, Shame, Blaenavon, Bad Sounds and Fews.
