Kendall Jenner dubs the ugly trainer an official trend
The biggest trainer trends are usually utterly unpredictable, ever-so slightly questionable and yet always manage to catch on.
Gone are the days when Nike and Adidas were the only cool kicks to have on your feet, with luxury designers including Chanel, Gucci and Prada have expanded their repertoire in recent years to include stylish, comfortable shoes.
However, it's fair to say that some styles are more traditionally chic than others, with Balenciaga, Vetements and Yeezy recently raising a few eyebrows with their chunky, garish designs.
Nonetheless the 'ugly shoe trend' has been picking up traction on the celebrity circuit lately, as Kendall Jenner stepped out earlier this week wearing an unmissable pair.
The model's multicoloured sneakers are apparently Yeezy's new Wave Runner 700 Sneakers that are yet to be released.
And Kendal isn't the first Kardashian to be seen sporting some of Yeezy's new eye-catching footwear.
Kim Kardashian (AKA Yeezy's biggest fan) took to her Instagram a few weeks ago to give us all a sneak preview of her hubby's Mud Rat 500 design, certifying that when it comes to sneakers this season, the bigger and more obscure, the better.

Balenciaga also caused quite a stir back in September when it released its Triple S trainers, which featured an oversized style, complex sole and dirty, pre-worn look.
The footwear, which costs £595, split the opinions of many sneaker fans, with one Twitter user commenting: “why are people paying £500 for these new Balenciagas when you can just find them in lost property at school for £0???”
Regardless of the backlash, Balenciaga’s Triple S Sneakers have become a surprising street style sensation this season, selling out online and becoming a must-have for many stylish influencers.
