Valentine's Day is here, and perhaps the day dedicated to love is finally encouraging Kendall Jenner, who closely guards her relationship status, to publicly display her romance with boyfriend Ben Simmons.

Last night, paparazzi snapped pictures of the couple holding hands in in NYC, which is an adorable PDA move, but a surprising one, considering the couple has played coy in the media about their relationship thus far.

"I'm not marrying anyone. I'm not engaged. There's nothing long-term or serious like that in my life," Jenner told Harper's Bazaar for her May 2017 cover shoot. "If I'm not fully, fully in it with someone, why would I make it public to everyone else? If I don't even know what it is, why would I let the world know?"

Jenner added that relationships are "sacred" and continued: "It's something between two people, and nobody else's opinion needs to be involved in it. People want to start drama. If I had a boyfriend, people are going to say all this stuff that's probably going to cause us to break up."

Last night, the two were spotted getting affectionate and boo'd up. Simmons, a basketball player for the Philadelphia 76ers, was in town for a game against the New York Knicks. Kendall, on the other hand, was in town for New York Fashion Week. After Simmons' team won the game, he and Jenner were spotted grabbing dinner at Zuma then hit up Marquee night club in West Chelsea, according to Elle.

Simmons and Jenner's love timeline began in May 2018, when Page Six first reported that Kendall and Ben were an item, citing a source who told the publication the pair had been dating “for a few weeks” by then. At the time, they were spotted at Vandal bar and lounge in N.Y.C. and had a lunch date at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles the following week.

Things heated up between the two of them over the summer, but by the end of August, E News! reported that Kendall and Ben's romance had "cooled off," but are still "texting." The inside source claimed that Kendall has "been spending time with other people" and that she was never "fully committed" to the NBA player.

Fast-forward to 2019, Kendall and Ben seem to have found a relationship status that works for them. When the model posted some behind-the-scenes footage of her posing in a bikini to Instagram, Simmons commented: "Come here .." and to our surprise, she flirted back by posting the race car and gust emojis, suggesting she's down to see Ben soon. Basketball fans have also caught Jenner sitting court-side at Simmons' games.

Last week while she was on Ellen, the day-time television host prodded about the model's relationship status and teased Kendall with photos of her watching one of Ben's games. "Who's that guy that's in the way?" Ellen asked her about Simmons. "I'm not so sure," Jenner responded. "Obviously you're dating this guy, right? I don't know him but he seems sweet by that picture. How long have you been dating him?" Ellen inquired. "For a bit now," Jenner finally admitted.

On top of that, Kendall and Ben were spotted at popular NYC eatery Cipriani last week, where she showed him some affection by wrapping her arms around Ben during their dinner date night.

There's no word yet if couple has plans for Valentine's Day later tonight. However, it's safe to guess that if her potential European fashion month schedule permits, Kendall will likely fly down to Miami where Ben is set to play against the Miami Heat on February 21.
