Kendall Jenner is the most recent Kardashian to alert us to a new autumn/winter 2018 trend.

The model stepped out in London on Thursday evening wearing a striking mustard dress by Dundas with a very '80s-inspired silhouette.

Although shoulder pads and a Victoriana-style high neckline aren't exactly the first details that pop into our heads when we think about party dressing in 2018, it was definitely a recurring theme on the AW18 runways.

Designers including Saint Laurent, Alexandre Vauthier, Isabel Marant, Chanel and Gucci all featured the look during fashion week, making it a style to watch this party season.

Celebrities including Margot Robbie, Whitney Port and Victoria's Secret model Elsa Hosk have already tried and tested the trend, along with a whole host of influencers on Instagram.

Of course, these influencers have provided a wealth of style inspiration. Whether you opt for a bold patterned number with over-the-knee boots for the day, or a slinky ruched silk dress for the evening, it's bound to be one strong (and stylish) look.

You also don't need to splash the cash in order to be able to wear the dress of the season, mid-range brand De La Vali has many show-stopping numbers, as do high street stores Zara, Topshop and ASOS.
