The Kennel Club Dog Photographer Of The Year 2016 - In Pictures

Cheeky puppies, majestic hounds and working dogs all feature in the pictures honoured in this year’s Kennel Club Dog Photographer of the Year 2016.

Heart-meltingly adorable snaps of man’s best friend frolicking in lakes, chewing on toys and jumping for joy are among the images that were awarded prizes across eight categories.

A huge 13,000 photographs were submitted from 90 countries to the contest, which is celebrating its tenth birthday this year.

A tiny puppy sipping at a bowl of milk came first in the puppy category, while two elegant Afghan hounds standing proudly atop a hill were the winner of the portrait award.

All of the winning images plus the photos that placed second and third for each category will be on display at the Kennel Club in Mayfair, London from 28th June until 12th September.
