Yahoo News Woman’s body found in lake near Kensington Palace
A woman’s body has been found in a lake located next to Kensington Palace.
The unidentified corpse was retrieved from the Round Pond last Saturday morning.
Police confirmed the death was not being treated as suspicious but inquiries were ongoing.
Prince William and Kate Middleton live inside the palace in London but were at a meeting with the Queen at Balmoral on the same day as the discovery.
Newlyweds Princess Eugenie and husband Jack Brooksbank also live on the grounds in a cottage.
It is not known what royals were present when the body was found.

Initially, authorities thought the body belonged to poet laureate Sir John Betjeman’s grandaughter Endellion Lycett Green but she was later found alive, the Daily Mail reported.
The 51-year-old artist had been missing for a week.
Her brother John Lycett Green wrote: “My sister Endellion is alive, safe and well.
“Thank you all for the support and love you showed for Delli and her family.
“Sorry to all of you that, like us, were grieving for the wonder that is Delli. We were told a body was found and was her.
“It was not, and Delli was found last night.
“RIP the soul that was found in Kensington Round Pond on Saturday morning.”

Police added in a statement: “The death is being treated as unexplained at this time, but is not thought to be suspicious.
“Inquiries are ongoing.”
