Yahoo News Kensington Palace dismisses royal wedding spat between Kate and Meghan
Kensington Palace has broken its silence over a recent magazine article detailing an alleged argument between the Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Sussex. The statement refers to feature that appeared in the new issue of Tatler focusing on Kate and called 'Catherine the Great'.
A Kensington Palace spokesperson said in a written statement: "This story contains a swathe of inaccuracies and false misrepresentations which were not put to Kensington Palace prior to publication."
The piece claimed that Kate and Meghan had fallen out ahead of the latter's 2018 wedding day over whether or not the bridesmaids should wear tights. It also alleged that Kate feels angry over her increased workload following Harry and Meghan's decision to step down as senior royals.
Tatler editor Richard Dennen has since defended the reporting. "Kensington Palace knew we were running the Catherine the Great cover months ago and we asked them to work together on it.
"The fact they are denying they ever knew is categorically false."
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been meeting with various care homes and schools over video calls since lockdown began, as a means of imparting cheer and raising morale.
They most recently took part in a bingo game with some of the residents at the Shire Hall Care Home in Cardiff. The royals took on the roles of bingo callers, complete with their own bingo cage and balls - plus, of course, traditional bingo lingo.
