On Monday, the Canadian influencer took to Instagram to share a candid and important message about weight and body positivity with her 386,000 followers.
In the video, the 32-year-old sat on a couch and filmed herself talking to the camera. Brenna sported a fresh-faced look and styled her strawberry blonde locks in a high ponytail.
In her speech, the influencer, who has opened up about beauty and body standards in the past, gave fans her hot take: "self love has no weight limit."
"You know what I hate? Is when I’m doing my thing online and talking all about body positivity, whatever. I’m like don’t shame people, just let people live. And someone comes around and they’re like well what about the people on 'My 600 Pound Life?' And this always gets brought up, so let’s address it," Brenna said.
The body image advocate went on to explain how struggling individuals need support and compassionate healthcare providers to help them.
"People who have metabolic disorders, or people who have eating disorders or food addictions are going through something. And they need medical attention and healthcare providers that are not judgemental and have their best interests at heart. I cannot stress this enough..," Brenna added. "And we should be f****** kind to people who are going through stuff. And those people are still allowed to practice self love. Not that hard."
In the caption, the Toronto, Ont.-based content creator wrote: "it’s almost like, body shaming at any point in time serves no purpose!"
In the comments, fans thanked Brenna for her real take on an important topic.
"Love this message!" commented a follower.
"Say it louder! People need love and genuine support. And if I ever get to a point I can’t get out of bed...I will need the most amount of self love and support I’ve ever needed before," shared someone else.
"Yes, preach it!" penned a fan alongside two clapping emojis.
