Kerry Katona has said she's currently struggling with her mental health as her anxiety is "through the roof".

The mother-of-five has candidly spoken about her mental health over the years, often addressing her battle with bipolar disorder.

“I’ve been struggling with my mental health this week," she wrote in her column in OK! Magazine. “It doesn’t matter how big your house is or how much money you have in the bank, anxiety and depression doesn’t just go away."

“My anxiety has been through the roof – it’s crippling me at the minute," she added.

The 40-year-old's comments come as she's relocated to Cheshire to rent a house after a deal to purchase a home in the area recently fell through.

“I’m so proud of how far I’ve come, but it doesn’t stop the issues I have. I don’t want people to be fooled by what they see on Instagram – just because I live in a nice house it doesn’t mean I’m not struggling mentally," Katona went on.

She said it had been "stressful" moving due to all the admin that comes with it but that once the family had settled in and "got [themselves] into a routine" she "might feel differently".

Last week saw the former Atomic Kitten member share a tour of the home she is renting to her YouTube channel.

She became visibly emotional as she talked of turning her life around and bouncing back from bankruptcy.

Katona will share the new home with her fiancé Ryan Mahoney and her children Lilly-Sue, 18, Heidi, 14, Maxwell, 13, and Dylan-Jorge, seven.

Her eldest daughter Molly, 19, primarily resides in Ireland, the home country of her father Brian McFadden, where she is studying.

Katona explained in her column that they would be renting the property until January and are hoping to buy it.
