Kerry Katona has admitted she feels “sick” at the thought of her upcoming wedding after three failed marriages.

The former Atomic Kitten is set to wed personal trainer Ryan Mahoney, who she met on dating app Bumble in 2018.

But Katona – who has been open about dealing with substance abuse and bipolar disorder - told MailOnline she is a bit nervous given her previous turbulent love life.

“There is massive anxiety – they all failed,” she said of her marriages.

“Not that Ryan is anything remotely like any three of them put together. Not an ounce of any of them. But you just start to think, ‘It must be me’.”

The star, 40, married former Westlife singer Brian McFadden in 2002 but they split in 2006 and Katona has claimed he cheated on her.

She married Mark Croft in 2007 but their relationship came to an end four years later.

She tied the knot with the late George Kay in 2014 but in 2015 he was arrested for allegedly assaulting her. The charges were later dropped due to a lack of evidence and the pair reconciled, but they split up again in 2017.

Kay died in 2019 of an overdose.

Katona - who is going on TV show Say Yes To The Dress to try and find the perfect gown for her big day -revealed she is expecting things to be different this time around.

“The difference with me and Ryan is, I’m the one who relies on me for my happiness. I have to be,” said the mum-of-five.

“Ryan enhances it. Ryan adds to it. You need someone that doesn’t take away from it. That’s exactly what I have.”
