Kerry Katona: ‘Katie Price Has Been My Rock Throughout George Kay Divorce’

Heartbroken Kerry Katona is the first to admit that she is still “madly in love” with estranged husband, George Kay, and it is clear to see that she is absolutely devastated by the breakdown of their marriage.

The mum-of-five split from George after just eleven months of marriage, with Kerry calling for a divorce after her husband was arrested for allegedly assaulting her in their marital home.

The brave singer admits that despite their altercation, she is struggling to make a clean break, telling Loose Women: “I’m still madly in love with him and I’m still married to him but sometimes things have got to come to an end.

“I’m still wearing my wedding ring. Have you not seen how beautiful they are? I’m not ready to take them off yet. I don’t regret my marriage to George at all.”

The 35-year-old also emotionally revealed that when she was younger she desperately wanted to be married due to her unstable childhood in various foster homes.

She explained: “I love being married. As a child, being the only child and not having a dad and being in foster homes and things, I think my main goal as a child, more than being famous, was to be married.

“I don’t [blame myself] but I just think look at my record, I must have really bad taste. I’m an amazing mum and I won’t let anybody knock me down for that.

“I know I’ve made mistakes in the past but my kids are so well looked after, they are so polite and well mannered and very well educated.”

Thankfully Kerry has had her close pal, Katie Price, to lean on during this tough time, with the singer praising the former glamour model for being her shoulder to cry on.

She explained: “I had Junior [Katie’s son] at my house, Heidi [Kerry’s daughter] was at Katie’s house and neither one of them wanted to go home.

“She’s a really good friend, Kate.”

We’re just glad that Kerry has her friends’ moral support to see her through this horrible time.
