Kerry Katona, a mum of five, is planning to downsize from her lavish Cheshire property as her children branch out on their own.

The 43 year old star has been eyeing a move from her £1 million home in Cheshire to a smaller residence in Marbella, often travelling back and forth with fiance Ryan Mahoney.

However, with daughters Lilly and Heidi firming up plans to venture out independently, Kerry and Ryan have decided to remain in Northern England for a little longer before their move.

This Monday, May 27, in her exclusive OK! Magazine column, Kerry revealed that despite plans to relocate to the smaller property in June 2024, she's yet to start packing, reports the Mirror.

"We're moving next month and we haven't packed a single thing. We are not prepared! I'm going to be really sad to leave this house, because it's gorgeous and we really get along with our neighbours. It's a shame", she wrote. "But at the same time, I want a house to feel really homely and this one is just so big, I can't keep on top of it."

The former Atomic Kitten bandmate added: "there will be less mess for me to tidy up after the kids in the new house, and it's still close by for DJ's school. We need to get a move on and start packing."

Kerry shares Molly Marie and Lilly with first husband Brian McFadden, Heidi and Max are from her second marriage to Mark Croft, and DJ was born during her third marriage to the late George Kay.

The celebrity recently took to social media to announce that her daughter Heidi, 21, has secured a place at a prestigious music academy in Ireland, while her 17 year old daughter Lilly is set to leave the nest for a performing arts school in Liverpool.

However, amidst the family's future plans, Kerry hinted at some relationship strains earlier this month when she decided to stay with her mother following surgery to fix her nose, which was damaged due to past substance misuse.

Opting to recuperate at her mum Sue's house, Kerry expressed gratitude but also revealed a sense of isolation, as she hadn't seen her fiance since the operation. "I want to say a massive thank you to my mum, who has been my rock during the last couple of weeks. I've been staying at hers and she's really looked after me", she shared in a recent column.

She further confessed feeling "unsupported" by her partner during her recovery, saying: "if I'm honest, I've felt more lonely than ever during my recovery. Ryan was away getting a tattoo in London when I went into hospital and I haven't seen him since my surgery over a week ago. That upset me, because it made me feel unsupported and I could have done with the emotional support."
