Kerry Katona’s Estranged Husband George Kay Denies Assaulting Her

Kerry Katona’s estranged husband, George Kay, has denied assaulting the star last October.

George was arrested following a fight with Kerry in their family home but today pleaded ‘not guilty’ to charges of assault and possession of a banned weapon when he stood before a judge at Hove Crown Court in East Sussex.

The 35-year-old was released on bail on the condition that he doesn’t contact Kerry, except via an agreed third party, and that he does not enter her home town of Crowborough.

It has been reported that George was not happy with the terms of his bail and asked the judge if he’d be able to return to Crowborough in order to get a haircut, with Judge David Rennie replying: “No, that’s slightly daft.

“You can get your hair cut somewhere else.”

George is now set to stand trial at Brighton, Hove or Lewes Crown Court on April 25th, with Kerry likely to give evidence in the case according to The Mirror.

George was arrested back in October after Kerry sustained bruises to her face following a row at their home, the labourer was later charged with assault by beating and unlawful possession of a stun gun.

A few days after the incident, Kerry announced that she would be divorcing George after eleven months of marriage.

Together the couple have a nineteen-month daughter, Dylan, and Kerry is also mother to fourteen-year-old Molly, twelve-year-old Lilly-Sue, eight-year-old Heidi, and seven-year-old Max.
