Kesha removes Diddy lyric in 'Tik Tok' after Cassie's abuse lawsuit
Cassie recently accused the music mogul of years of rape and physical abuse in a lawsuit that has since been settled by the parties.
Kesha switched up lyrics that reference Diddy in her 2009 dance hit "Tik Tok" in the wake of Cassie's abuse lawsuit.
The pop star hit the stage at Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on Saturday and tweaked the song's opening line — "Wake up in the mornin' feelin' like P. Diddy" — to the more self-empowering, "Wake up in the mornin' feelin' just like me," as captured by concertgoers on social media.
Reps for Kesha didn't immediately respond to EW's request for comment.

Singer-songwriter Cassie accused Diddy, real name Sean Combs, of rape and years of controlling behavior and physical abuse in a lawsuit filed against the music mogul in New York last week. Diddy "vehemently" denied the allegations. Cassie also alleged that Diddy threatened to blow up fellow rapper Kid Cudi's car in a fit of jealous rage shortly before the 2012 explosion. (Cudi corroborated the claim, while a representative for Diddy declined to comment further.) The two settled the lawsuit a day after it was filed, though details about the settlement were not provided.
“I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control,” Cassie said in a statement. “I want to thank my family, fans, and lawyers for their unwavering support.” Diddy added in his own statement, “We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best."
Kesha recently saw the end of her own lengthy legal battle against record producer Dr. Luke over the summer. She accused him of sexual assault and battery and psychological abuse in a lawsuit filed in 2014, prompting the producer to counter sue for defamation. They reached a resolution in June.
