Singer Kesha has reportedly accused her ex-producer Dr. Luke of sexually assaulting Katy Perry.

The allegation came in the form of revealed court documents that were obtained by The Blast, alleging that the music producer raped Katy Perry as well as herself. It’s suggested that Kesha, real name Kesha Rose Sebert, sent a text message to Lady Gaga with the claim, too.

The information all came to light when a rebuttal on behalf on Dr Luke, real name Lukasz Sebastian Gottwald, surfaced after denying all allegations: ‘On February 26, 2016 [Kesha] sent a text message to Stefani Germanotta p/k/a/ Lady Gaga which repeated [Kesha’s] false claim that [Luke] had raped her.

‘[Kesha] also falsely asserted that [Luke] had also raped Kathryn Hudson p/k/a/ Katy Perry,’ the document continued.

‘Following this text message conversation, and with [Kesha’s] encouragement, [Gaga] spread negative messages about [Luke] in the press and on social media.’

While the text message had been talked about prior to this leak, it was unknown as to the exact contents of it, until now.

Perry has never publicly accused Dr Luke of a sexual assault as people were merely left to speculate on the pair’s professional relationship, after having not worked with him for several years.

Dr Luke’s legal team strongly denied the accusation, and indeed all accusations, in a statement: ‘Katy Perry herself confirmed that Dr. Luke did not rape her,’ it said. ‘Kesha’s accusation to the contrary — just like her other outrageous lies about Dr. Luke — is baseless and irresponsible, and it is disrespectful to both Katy Perry and Dr. Luke. In his defamation lawsuit against Kesha, Dr. Luke seeks damages for the harm caused by these malicious falsehoods.’

The singer, 31, has been embroiled in a lengthy and unpleasant legal battle with her once producer since 2014, after she accused him of abuse.

In response, he launched a defamation lawsuit against her, claiming that her allegations were all false, and how she failed to fulfil her contractual obligations when expected to work on her third album with him.

In turn, Kesha filed a countersuit to get out of the contract because of the verbal abuse and alleged rape she claimed to have experienced at his hands, but at each attempt the courts denied her right to cut ties from her contract relating to the Sony-distributed label Kemosabe.

She did, however, release another album on the label, titled Rainbow whereby she made subtle references to her ongoing nightmare with the producer.

The singer is currently on tour with Macklemore over the summer.
