Can you believe that the first Iron Man film was released all the way back in 2008? In some ways it feels like the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been around for a lot longer, yet at the same time, not that long at all.

The studio is of course going to celebrate ten years of box office domination, and head honcho Kevin Feige has teased what we can expect.

"Primarily the movies we're releasing next year are the celebration of the ten years: Black Panther, obviously (Avengers:) Infinity War and Ant-Man and the Wasp. Those are the primary focus," he told Collider.

"There will be some merchandise released and some re-releases in home video. Primarily it is all leading up to the three movies in particular and, obviously, Infinity War.

"In addition to that, the logo we revealed at D23. I have fond memories in 1987 of Star Wars, the first ten years, 1978-1987.They made a logo, they had T-shirts, they did small stuff.

"That was during the dark ages of Star Wars, where there hadn't been anything. Thankfully we're not in the dark ages right now with the MCU, but I think there'll be just acknowledgements of the ten years that have come before."

Hopefully that merchandise includes box sets for Phases 2 and 3, as buying the films individually on Blu-ray is starting to take up too much shelf space. Marvel/Disney, if you're reading: Get. On. It.

Thor: Ragnarok is the next Marvel Studios film and it comes out on October 24 in the UK and November 3 in the US. Here is a trailer:
